Louis Chenevert became the chairman of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) on 1st January 2006. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Mr. Chenevert attended HEC Montreal where he attained his Production Management degree. Immediately after his graduation, General Motors hired him and worked with the company for 14 years. In 1993, Louis Chenevert moved to Pratt & Whitney Canada where he served in different capacities including President. Following his success at Pratt & Whitney, Louis Chenevert was appointed UTC Chairman. In due course, he was promoted to CEO and President, a position he held until 2014.
